BOTTOM LINE: According to the NYSE's latest report, short interest on the exchange surged another 7.04% to a new record of 16.01 billion shares. NYSE short interest is now up a stunning 67% in just over a year. Only time will tell if the recent parabolic rise in short interest signifies a "blow-off top" in the current "US negativity bubble."
