Coronavirus deaths slowed the most in more than a month in Spain, Italy and France while fatalities reported in the U.K. and New York were the lowest since the end of March. Oil dipped. BOTTOM LINE: Asian indices are modestly higher, boosted by technology and consumer staple shares in the region. I expect US stocks to open modestly lower and to rally into the afternoon, finishing mixed.  The Portfolio is 50% net long heading into the week.

Weekly Outlook

BOTTOM LINE: I expect US stocks to finish the week mixed as earnings jitters, global recession fears and oil weakness offset global stimulus hopes, short-covering and diminishing coronavirus worries. My intermediate-term trading indicators are giving bearish signals and the Portfolio is 50% net long heading into the week.
