First Senator Scott delivers his well rehearsed “line” about being concerned about the cost overruns. Then Trump sets the “bait.” He announces that the cost overruns have increased from $2.7 billion to $3.1 billion now. Watch Powell’s face. He’s in disbelief. Trump then produces the “evidence” from his pocket and hands it to Powell who quickly reads it and then disagrees. The $3.1 billion price tag includes the building they had renovated just five years ago. Trump just made the FED look like rich “overlords,” who aren’t affected by high interest rates and inflation. Powell didn’t even know he was being played.
