- BREAKING: Retail investors bought +$9.1 billion of US equities last week, their largest weekly purchase over the last 16 weeks. This also marks their 9th-largest weekly purchase over the last 12 months. This follows purchases of +$6.4 billion in the prior week and +$4.8 billion two weeks earlier. Semiconductors led last week's demand, attracting +$2.6 billion, the 3rd-largest weekly retail purchase over the last year. Retail investors also bought +$2.4 billion of AI Infrastructure stocks, their 4th-largest weekly purchase over the last 12 months. Retail investor appetite for AI-related names is surging. (graph)
- BREAKING: The 3x leveraged long Semiconductor ETF, $SOXL, has attracted +$3.8 billion in inflows so far this week, putting it on track for its largest weekly intake on record. This follows 3 consecutive weekly outflows, the longest streak since May. By comparison, the previous record weekly inflow was +$3.1 billion posted in June this year. This comes despite $SOXL falling -35% over the last 7 trading sessions. Meanwhile, the Semiconductor ETF, $SMH, has posted +$430 million in inflows so far this week, on track for its biggest weekly inflow since the start of September. At the same time, the Semiconductor ETF, $SOXX, has attracted +$574 million, on pace for its 2nd-largest weekly intake since August. Investors are piling into leveraged semiconductor ETFs at a record pace.

- This is a reminder that we are living in the age of information warfare which is the battle for your mind. What this tells me specifically about the strategy of the Democrats is that they are front loading early voting for the headlines - so that the media and especially conservative media would lose hope, blame Trump & admit defeat before anything is actually lost. The aim of this would be two fold: 1) Discourage conservative voters from turning out. 2) Shape the information battlefield so that people will accept unlikely results from stolen elections - ie: they won’t question the fraud. We have seen this movie before. They are trying to set the table with first day early voting headlines to make it appear like there is a blue wave. But it is fake.

- New poll on Ukrainian attitudes on the war finds a strong majority – 57% – support an immediate negotiated peace with Russia and territorial concessions. Only 21% support fighting until the Donbass is returned to Ukrainian control. Most overwhelmingly favor a national referendum on peace, rather than allowing the president or parliament to decide. The survey was taken by Rating Group on October 3-5. It follows a Gallup poll this June showing 66% of Ukrainians favoring an immediate negotiated cessation of hostilities.
